Amanda Abbington (born in England) is an English actor from England. In a career spanning over thirty years on the stage and on screen, her most well-known roles comprise Josie Mardle in Mr Selfridge as well as Mary Morstan in Sherlock. Martin Freeman, the renowned English actor is also a proud father to two children. Martin Freeman is a father of two together with Amanda Abbington. Freeman and Abbington have been in a steady relationship between 2000 and the year 2016. While they were together, Joe was born, and Grace is now a daughter. Abbington made an appearance in 2014 as Mary Morstan, wife of John Watson (played by Martin Freeman at the time) in the BBC's adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories. In 2015, she starred as Mary Morstan on the BBC TV series Cuffs. In the episode during a segment on Lorraine, Amanda, who was previously engaged to Martin Freeman, said: "He's phenomenal, he's amazing. He makes me smile. He's growing stronger and better. Martin Freeman was never wed in real life, however he did marry his ex-wife on screen. Irene was one of Sherlock Holmes's only loves interests. She manipulated Sherlock into decoding her phone that he wanted, and it had information on it that queen of United Kingdom wanted. She has a large residence in London, and she has nicknames like Mycroft (the Ice Man) as well as Sherlock ("the Virgin"). They have rarely spoken about their breakup, but it's believed that Martin was filming in the US which included Black Panther, the Marvel movie Black Panther, was, among other things, a factor in their separation.
